Translate MIDI 2.0
  • Bridges from Network to USB MIDI or standard 5pinDIn MIDI transports.
  • Connect MIDI 1.0 and 2.0 devices over a standard IP network. Connect 2 devices directly or connect multiple devices through a standard network switch.
  • Can share a network with other protocols such as Time Sensitive Networking, AES76, or Dante without collision.
  • Uses the MIDI 2.0 network-based specification currently in development in the MIDI Association.
  • Future proof: Use for MIDI 1.0 today. Will auto-switch to MIDI 2.0 when connected to MIDI 2.0 device or system. Connect a MIDI 1.0 device to a MIDI 2.0 device and Mitosys will automatically translate.
  • Ethernet provides ground isolation, removes audio buzz noise prone to some USB setups.
  • Power over Ethernet support – Receives power from remote source over the network connection.
  • All connections can be bidirectional – send and receive MIDI 1.0 and/or MIDI 2.0
Connectors on Rear Panel:

Standard RJ45 Network Jack for MIDI 1.0/2.0 data connection

Operates via POE Power Over Ethernet

Operates via USB Power input when not operating via POE
